Race Recap: Kyle Holzhausen Leads MRM to a 2nd place finish at Las Vegas.

Las Vegas, NV- The MRM drivers didn't let qualifying stand in there way from performing in Monday nights race at Las Vegas. All three drivers made impressive gains until Justin and Kyle would make contact out of turn four, sending Justin to the outside wall. Take a look at how all three drivers fared in Mondays race.
Steven Burnett, No. 5 Hirschfeld Marketing Solutions
Chevrolet Camaro
Stared: 4th
Finished:4th
Standing:6th
Recap: Burnett would start 4th in Monday nights race and would run in the top 5 the entire race. A mid caution would wave and after pit stops, would show the #5 starting third. With about 15 to go, fuel management would be a factor for most of the field. The leader would pit, putting Burnett in the lead. The call was made with 5 to go that Burnett would pit for fuel only. While on pit road, a caution would fly and put Burnett out of getting the top spot back. The race would finish under caution leaving Burnett in the same position as which he started from.
Kyle Holzhausen No. 78 Ford Eco boost
Ford Mustang
Started: 9th
Finished: 2nd
Standings: 3rd
Recap: Holzhausen would run in the top 10 most of the race. It wasn't til late when other drivers pitted for fuel that Holzhausen could see the top spot getting closer. Holzhausen would radio to the crew that he had enough fuel and would stay out. This work, as it took Holzhausen up to 2nd place and when the late caution waved, he would lock in that 2nd position at the end. This 2nd place finish moved Holzhausen up to 3rd in points
Justin Kern No. 2 The weekly Racer

Started: 17th
Finished: 17th
Standings: 13th
Recap: Kern has struggled this season so far with bad luck following him in each race. Kern would start 17th, having some issues during practice and qualifying. The team work all the way up to race time to work out the problems and it seemed to help as Kern was battling teammate Holzhausen in the top 10. Contact made by Holzhausen out of turn 4 would sent Kern into the outside wall early on the team would work to get the #2 machine fixed, but the car lost a lot of power throughout the rest of the race. Kern is looking for that great finish to bounce back from the past weeks and move up in points to be able and run the season ending Nastrack chase for the cup.
As week take a week of before headed out to Phoenix, team MRM would dig deep and practice hard to get their first win of the seaon.
